We've relished the chance to spread-out a bit at mom and dad's and get out of the trailer for a while, but we've also made some rounds around southern California to see some sights and visit family and friends. Going back to Loyola Marymount University was a great treat catching up with Fr. Erps in Campus Ministry and seeing how much the campus has grown since I graduated...they have definitely invested the tuition I paid wisely. We managed to reconnect with several other friends from LMU - thank you Susan for the truly Southern lunch!; thanks Chris for being born in December so we could have a party and see Leslie and Maureen and meet many of the folks you run around the country with on your marathons!
The kids were mezmerized by the magnetic fish tank cleaner at cousin Gina's place, but they also had a great time at the playground and playing with cousin Gavin while woofing down some pizza. Joining Lance, Nancy, Ethan and Lucas for a few days was definitely a highlight...2 giant bins of legos is hard to beat and the Christmas program was exceptional! Pop-pop and Gramma have been superstars for the kids breaking out gingerbread houses, sugar cookies, Christmas decorations and showering loads of extra attention (and "sour naks") on everyone. It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!
